Every new business has its first experiences doing things and we are no exception. Some of these new things have been great while others have been very sad...
In the last couple of months, Pure Steam has gone through its first firing of an employee and also its first person to quit. I am hear to tell you that when the proverbial "they" say that the first year of any new business is always the hardest "they" sure as hell are not lying. The biggest first is my piercer quit and I struggled hard with massive disappointment, because I not only loved his work, but I also thought he was a really great person. Despite the set backs all is not lost though because there have been some really great firsts. We finally got our 5 star rating on Google as a business, we also have gotten to try out some new inks and needles to further our tattooing art, and we will have two new employees starting soon at the shop. I am trying to keep my head held high, but I will admit I can't wait for our first year to be over ;)
